Double Hurricane forming in US Gulf
The third hurricane of the year, Genevieve has reached cat 4 hurricane-level with 130kt winds on 18th Aug. but losing force and now being a tropical storm that did not make landfall on the Californian coasts.
A high level of activity is present in the US gulf, and latest NHC forecast sees tropical depressions thirteen and fourteen more organised into tropical storms and then intensifying into hurricane Laura and hurricane Marco by early next week, threatening a wide swathe of exposed coastline in the Gulf and including Florida.
